FAQ
Cinematic Lee specialises in editing various types of videos, including but not limited to short films, documentaries, corporate videos, music videos, promotional videos, and social media content.
I’ve cut 15-second ads, 60-minute interviews, and everything in between. If you’re after Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts or teaser trailers, I can shape content to grab attention fast. If you need longer edits, like explainers, online courses, or doc-style pieces.I’ll help pace it, keep it engaging, and ensure it doesn’t feel like a drag.
Whether you need a video for personal or business purposes, Cinematic Lee can help bring your vision to life.
Once you’ve shared the footage (via WeTransfer, Dropbox, a shared drive or even sending it via post), I’ll get stuck in. I usually provide a rough cut for review, then implement your feedback into a polished final version. If you’re not sure what you want, don’t worry. I’ll help shape the narrative. I also include small extras like subtitles or basic motion graphics when needed. Communication is key, and I’ll keep things moving without dragging you into endless back-and-forth.
The editing timeline for each video project varies depending on its complexity and length. However, rest assured that Cinematic Lee is committed to delivering high-quality results within a reasonable timeframe. Upon discussing your project requirements, I will provide you with a clear estimate of the editing duration, keeping you informed every step of the way.
It varies as every project is diffrent but a common example for a short film is “Rough cut in 5 working days; final version 3 days after feedback”.
If you’ve got a tight deadline, just say. I often deliver quick-turnaround edits, especially for social content, pitch videos, or reactive marketing. As long as I’m available and you’ve sent all assets, I can usually deliver within 24 hours. There may be a small rush fee, but I’ll always be upfront about that.
Yes, I am skilled on both Mac and PC, and can work on Adobe, Avid and Resolve.
Yes, and I’d expect to. If you’ve got past videos, logos, brand guidelines or reference links, send them over. I’ll match colours, fonts, pacing, and tone. Whether it’s slick corporate, social-media punchy, or slow cinematic, I adjust to suit your audience. It’s part of the craft.
I can setup for all of the above. Laptops with bags of hard drives and cables or in a custom suite or as a dry hire. It all depends on what works best for the project. I am based in London so have easy connections to airports should it be local or international.
As every project is diffrent there is no good awnser here, it all varies depending on the amount of media, ideal duration, number of versions like social media cutdowns and delivery date. This can either be calculated at a per day or at as project fee.
Typically, my rate covers:

Need extra motion graphics, voiceover, or licensed music? That’s possible too I’ll just quote it separately so you’re never hit with hidden costs.
I primarily use Adobe Premiere Pro for editing, After Effects for motion graphics, and DaVinci Resolve for colour grading when needed. These are industry-standard tools trusted across broadcast, corporate, and social content so you’re in safe hands.
If you ask for something that falls outside my usual setup (like editing in Final Cut or using specific templates in Canva or CapCut), I’ll always be honest. In most cases, I can adapt or collaborate with a specialist in my network to make sure the job gets done properly.
Yes your data is safe, I keep projects for at least a year once its signed off and while working on the project it is always in two places in case of hard drive failure, but often it is three.
I’ve worked on everything from national TV adverts to fast-paced digital content. What sets me apart is not just technical skill but storytelling. You’re hiring someone who can interpret your footage, understand your message, and shape it into something people actually want to watch. AI can cut clips, but it can’t read a brief, anticipate a brand’s tone, or adjust a pace to match music in a human, intuitive way.
Just send your footage, a short brief (written or via call), and any extras like brand assets, music preferences, or previous examples. Don’t worry if it’s a bit rough. I’m happy to help shape ideas. Once I know what you need, I’ll give you a turnaround time and we’re off.
